First look and Review of the Sony CX550v Camcorder. I purchased this camcorder as a more portable and stabilized option for my larger FX1. Comparing the CX550 to an FX1 may not be very fair, but when it comes to low light and stabilization, the CX550v shines. The CX550v has tons of consumer features, like GPS, burn to disk, offload to hard drive, face detection, night shot etc. I really just want to show the core functionality. I took the slow motion and slowed it down in post, hence the % speed notation. Notice the interlacing at 1% speed, as you can see the ghost image quite noticeably. The slow motion feature is fun for youtube, but not ready for real HD use.
